The Enzo is a continuation of the saga of super began in 1984 with the Ferrari 288 GTO and continued by the F50 and F40 1987 to 1995. The base was used for the Enzo Maserati MC12, which competes in sport-prototypes. The engine block is now also used to propel the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, albeit in a front and with 40 hp less.
