Chinese manufacturer Geely Automobile has proposed to produce the cheapest car series in the world to overthrow the now famous Nano from Tata's Indian. Future GIs Geely subcompact will go into production over two years and will be equipped with a gasoline engine, 3-cylinder, 1.0 liter.
Geely has already presented a concept IG (photo), which they say will be implemented very quickly in the car. British magazine Autocar has progressed and a cost estimate for this model, approximately 1,500 pounds. Market launch will start right on the ground of Tata Nano in India.
Like I said, Geely GI was prefaced by a far electric propulsion concept presented in two versions, the latest in a range of 180 km, maximum speed 150 km / hour and the battery charge time to 80% capacity only 18 minutes. The electric is due to come into production over the next three years, so until then IG will be launched with a traditional engine, 67 hp and 90 Nm.
