Spyker has his sights set firmly on the flourishing Chinese automobile market, according to a report by the China Car Times, the company plans to produce and market a road-legal version of its GT2 racer for the People's Republic. Supposedly the car is longer and wider, and a variety of comfort-function to help bridge the gap between the racetrack and public roads. Well, here is the really surprising part: The car will be launched in October this year. If this is the case, the development of the vehicle must be almost complete.
China Car Times also mentions that Spyker is planning to build a larger four-door model only for Chinese customers. Both vehicles have design elements that are manufactured specifically for the new market. Eventually, China hopes the company will become Spyker's second largest market after the United States. With all the money in circulation in the Asian country's economy at the moment, we can not imagine that the target is too far-fetched.link
