Red Bull Racing continued its domination of the categorical and the British Grand Prix qualifying, where Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were busy with a disarming lightness first line of the grid.
Timed with 1:29.615, Vettel was something more than a tenth faster than his teammate, but rivals Ferrari and McLaren were positioned about a second ago. In addition, Vettel and Webber have set the best times in all three parts of qualifications, having done so and training sessions.
Ferrari took full advantage of the problems made by McLaren this weekend and earned third place on the starting grid with Fernando Alonso as his teammate Felipe Massa will start from seventh place.

Jaime Alguersuari was the only pilot of a traditional team failed to advance in the second part of the qualifications. Scuderia Toro Rosso pilot will occupy the 18 th position grid and will be followed by Heikki Kovalainen (Lotus). Timo Glock (Virgin Racing) managed to overtake one seater Lotus and will leave the 20th, in front of Jarno Trulli. Lucas di Grassi was placed on 22, while the last line of the grid is monopolized by the two pilots of the team Hispania, Karuna Chandhok and Sakon Yamamoto, last heard on his first F1 Grand Prix after a pause of about three years.
