Volkswagen will introduce access system, starting and closing without a key and the models Golf, Tiguan and Scirocco. KESSY system will be offered an option and adding it costs 355 euros in Germany. Vehicles equipped with the system KESSY not need a key contact to start the engine, and the doors are locked and unlocked automatically when the driver is less than 1.5 meters from the car that the driver leaves the immediate vicinity of the vehicle. Thanks to outstanding performance of the system, the owner should not take necessarily the key in hand, doors can be unlocked while the keys are in your pocket or bag it.

To unlock the doors when the car reached near the driver door handle just to do that. Locking can be made by pressing the door handle, although this is done automatically once the driver was removed from all the key more than 1.5 meters from the vehicle and the engine is stopped. KESSY system was developed specifically for the Phaeton and then went on other models of the Volkswagen Group. The folks at Volkswagen have said that introducing this system on cheaper models of its range is the group's marketing strategy, namely that of providing the top technology and smaller models in the range.
