Infiniti will bring the available spring 2011 M35h equipped with a pedestrian warning system on the market. It consists of a computer-controlled synthesizer board in the front bumper and a built-in speaker. The VSP (Approaching Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians) said system is activated when you start off in electric mode and automatically switches off at speeds above 30 km / h from again. Slows the M35h its journey, it switches the VSP automatically at 25 km / h again.

To search for the most effective yet unobtrusive sound of an extensive research program was conducted. Were taken into account the various aspects, including behavior of pedestrians and noise. Infiniti at the end was a sound pattern with variable pitch and volume in preference to a single tone. The result is a sine wave with a frequency of 2.5 kHz and 600 Hz, these frequencies are for people of all ages and groups are heard and felt to be disturbing at the same time outside the area (around 1000 Hz).

The change between high and low tone frequency is dependent on vehicle speed and whether the Infiniti M35h just accelerates or decelerates. The largest sound volume when the bike is used, while the system produces an intermittent sound when reversing. Both sounds are specifically selected to be alert visually impaired pedestrians and passers-by on the M35h.

Although the M35h can drive alone with his zero-emission electric drive quickly up to 80 km / h, is at speeds above 30 km / h, the noise levels loud enough to be able to dispense with the VSP. In developing the hybrid model, Toyota found that the M35h in mixed driving, about half the time only can drive with electric drive.

Infiniti is different from other manufacturers, not least the fact that it gives all its models an extremely rich standard equipment for the journey. So it is only logical that the European sales start in spring 2011 (by Country) M35h each comes standard with VSP. The pedestrian warning system complements the M35h a comprehensive package of innovative security systems, including the premium in all versions as standard built-in Dynamic Safety Shield package.

The M35h combines a 225 kW / 306 hp 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine and a 50 kW / 68 hp electric motor payable to accelerate the Ininiti in under 5.9 seconds from zero to 100 mph. The model will operate in spite of its sporty performance, more often, longer and faster than conventional hybrid vehicles with electric drive alone. As a provisional standard average consumption is 7.3 liters per Infiniti of 100 kilometers.
