The 918 RSR race hybrid concept presented by Porsche at the Detroit auto show is number 22. A very symbolic for the manufacturer which posted its ambitions and reiterates its commitment to history: the first Porsche that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans was number 22. That was in 1971, 917K of Helmut Marko and Gijs van Lennep was the first to cross the finish line after covering 5335 km at an average speed of 222.304 km / h. A record which was beaten last year! The participation of the new 918 RSR is not yet official, but it would not be surprising to see her on the starting grid for the 2011 edition.
