Volkswagen has finally revealed the new sedan designed for the U.S. market.
The surprise is that New Midsize Sedan (NMS), is back with the name Passat.

Wolfsburg have decided to retain the name and the new model will be made at the new plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Four-door sedan will be sold in the U.S. since August, its starting price will start from 20,000 dollars.

"It's hard to find a sedan in this class (length 4868 mm, wheelbase 2803 mm, width 1835 mm), with similar technologies and qualities of such a price," said a statement from the company. This means that the volume and space for passengers in the "American" Passat will be more than the car with the same name sold to other world markets.
