Only 3 stars for the Dacia Duster EuroNcap Crash Test

In the independent European institution Euro NCAP results were published in the latest series of crash tests.
Study was the safety of four small crossover - BMW X1, Dacia Duster, Mitsubishi ASX and Nissan Juke. Of these three vehicles have received the maximum five stars and only Duster was honored with three.


Such a low estimate of Dacia car receives insufficient protection for the driver and other adult passengers.

In the side impact is possible to suffer a very strong body of the driver and front passenger. Shock rear passengers can get a traumatic neck.

Protection of the driver in frontal impact is assessed as satisfactory the same just by adding that driver safety is reduced because of the design features of the dashboard, and because of missing electronic safety systems in the basic version.

Experts from Euro NCAP assessed as low pedestrian safety because the structure of the bonnet with Duster.

Interestingly, the protection of infants and children up to 3 years in the car was rated as good.

As is known, Dacia Duster is assembled on the platform of the Logan, a car which is also in tests in 2005 was rated three stars by Euro NCAP.
