Those waiting Maxiscooter Ducati will have to wait. The brand has announced that it plans no production before 2015.
No Maxiscooter Ducati 2015! Thierry Mouterde, DG Ducati West Europe, has confirmed it will take at least the middle of the decade before we see land the Bologna two-wheeler on public land Yamaha TMax.

During our discussions with officials of the Italian brand at the Milan Fair in the fall of 2010, we had confirmation that the segment of large-displacement sports scooters was the object of attention. However, it seems that Ducati engineers have come to the conclusion that this type of 2-wheel involves a rethinking of procedures for design and production.

The door is not completely closed by 2015 and hopes of a machine that would be much more than a Gilera GP800 in Desmodromic. This is also a 100% original Maxiscooter unfolding in full page in the Special Edition Magazine's 2011 City-Z currently on newsstands.
