A new 3.6L V-6 - the most powerful standard engine in the segment - Updates as of 2012 Cadillac SRX. It increases a combination of performance, technology and sophistication that is resonating with more customers luxury crossover.
Cadillac SRX retail sales rose 17.7 percent in the first half of 2011, based on record sales for 2010 increased 150 percent.
The new 3.6L - known by its code "LFX" engine - is the only engine offered in the Cadillac SRX. It delivers a power of 16 percent plus (308 hp / 230 kW) than the previous V-6 provides an additional low-end torque. reactivity of the vehicle is greatly improved in all conditions - from rest, around town maneuverability in traffic, passing maneuvers and accelerations at full capacity. It is mated to a Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission that features an Eco mode selectable by the driver that changes the shift points and increase throttle to help maximize fuel economy.
Cadillac SRX also provides enhanced features for 2012, and updates that make it quieter and more refined - including new absorbent materials placed strategically in the car. The basic suspension system and Sport have been revised to improve ride quality.
